. we have visibility down to a quarter mile. fairfield reporting, fog at times, napa down to a quarter mile as well as nova toe. your visibility could drop off suddenly as you make your morning drive. we're seeing the chilliest numbers over the north bay. with the chilly conditions and calm conditions, setting the stage for cold numbers, the possibility for fog over the north bay. upper 30s in napa. off to the east bay. we're looking at the fog spilling in the central valley. be prepared. a lot of fog reported in that area. ridge of high pressure will continue to stretch into the bay area at some point bringing us an offshore breeze. i will be tracking that for you. but wean now and then -- but between now and then, unseasonably colder weather into next weekend. 61 san francisco. 62 in oakland. low 60s, concord and, antioch, hayward down into the south bay. 63 san jose. 63 mountain view. low 60s palo alto as well as redwood city, the extended forecast, a little warming trend into the weekend. it's just going to be nice. mild weather will continue through about tuesday. back to you. >>>

warmer this morning except for napa and concord where you still are dropping into the 30s. even at 38 santa rosa is a couple degrees warmer. san francisco 47. good morning redwood city, 48. 49 in mountain view and a mild, relatively speaking, 50 in san jose. that's five degrees above where you were yesterday but it's really fremont and livermore that are experiencing the much warmer conditions. not much change-up in san rafael, and subtle changes along the coast in san francisco. boy, a pretty mild to start out. just in the last hour numbers coming up along the shoreline. we will look for a little bit of fog here and there, but overall with the cloudy skies this morning that's keeping us a little warmer. then by the afternoon the winds will take over and that's going to usher in a slightly milder air mass. high pressure over the bay area continues to bring that sub continuance and that warming today and tomorrow. but by tuesday it will be coming to a screeching halt as we look for another wind shift. the temperatures will drop and then we will look for showers to head our way late tue

showers. guerneville you are looking a few showers. napa, vacaville and fairfield. this will remain over the north bay through most of the afternoon. hit or miss showers, periods of rain, a few periods of dry weather. it will spread south and when it does, the steadier rain will begin to move our way. coming up, i will tell you when we can expect the evening drive, when we'll see the heaviest rain and when we'll be dry. >>> in san mateo county, road crew are the trying to shore up highway 1 before the rain tonight. they are trying to stop erosion from the weekend storm in pacifica. that will mean traffic delays in the area the highway was completely shut down overnight until the work began at 9:00 a.m. there are one-way controls in place right now. they hope to have everything back open by 3:00 this afternoon. >>> in a couple of hours, the san francisco board of supervisors will cast their final vote on the public nudity ban. brian flores joins us live from san francisco. there's still strong emotions on this. >> reporter: hi, tori. yes, still strong emotions. despite a large group of nu

some 30s this morning. chilly in napa. cloudy and a warmer day today and tomorrow. cooler weather heads our way on tuesday and with that we will look for a storm system to arrive on wednesday. it's a fast mover. anywhere from a quarter of an inch to three quarters of an inch of rain is anticipated for wednesday into thursday in the north bay. high temperatures today in the 60s. that's a little bit above normal. we should be in the upper 50s, to about 60. so a modest warmup today and tomorrow. and that's due to a slight offshore flow compliments of a ridge of high pressure that is building in to the eastern pacific, and as it does we are looking at that flow bringing some gusty winds down from the higher elevations. and also with the setup like this we are looking for a high fire danger in san diego. so really much of california will be dominated by this area of high pressure which deflects the storm systems to the north and brings that sustenance and dryer, warmer air our way. fast forwarding into tuesday night, 9:00, we have rain in sonoma county, and by wednesday, before the morning c

to zero for napa and santa rosa. we are tracking the fog and the temperature has been chilly. it has been low 30's for napa up and up the 30's for--as we take a look if future cast 4 by 9:00 a.m. we will be dealing will widespread 50s. >> it is very similar to yesterday and just a few degrees warmer. for those a you had not this is ending this is what your highs will look like barrett that is not much difference there. >> what are expecting low 60's as well as 63 in santa rosa. it is 62 degrees for napa and the same for downtown san francisco. for those a you head into a tall pole it will be mostly sunny conditions. we're not expecting any more snowfall. >> as we take a look at the 7 day around the bay we are expecting planning of sunshine and it will be slightly warmer for the weekend. we may see a slight chance of showers. >> we have a high spot on westbound 580 at the richmond sand rafael bridge. today it is for a different reason. we do have a accident and i do not know of their injuries. this is arrives at the toll plaza so we are expecting some delays. it looks like ms. span and all

. temperatures in the north bay. 36 in napa valley. and santa rosa. and 5 degrees what we felt 24 hours ago. a little bitter there. widespread 40s and livermore. 51 degrees. we are off to a better start this morning. we are soaring above yesterday's highs. 67 for santa rosa. and these numbers four to 8 degrees above the seasonal average. 65 expected in oakland. and low 60s in san francisco and out to candlestick to watch the 49ers play, it is a mild one. mid 60s for hayward and down to 66 in san jose. and 67 in morgan hill. how about santa cruz mostly sunny skies and 66 expected in your afternoon. the extended forecast here, we will hold onto the above normal temps through monday. and then we start to see the changes move our way. partly sunny skies. you will feel the transition by the second half of the afternoon. we wake up wednesday afternoon with scattered showers and look at the afternoon high. they take a plunge. expected 50s for the afternoons. i will show you the forecast model on the rain coming up. >>> tragic story out of pennsylvania after a 7-year-old boy is killed by his father

. napa half inch of rain. kentfield .23. there has been about .15 toward crockett and benicia. right there looking at the last few frames you can see off the marin coast and san francisco down toward san mateo coast and half-moon bay. things are really starting to pick up here. this is a very steady rain. no wind associated with it. over oakland and berkeley and heading over toward the east bay. you can see that is pretty good rain. stretching toward antioch and discovery bay. what is really going right now is off the marin coast and san francisco and now down the san mateo coast. look for steady rain now. the area of low pressure is coming in. cloudy with rain. drizzle for some. heavier rain for others. it lookalikes things are calming down -- it looks like things are calming down. this will be the last system. it will give us morning rain and decreasing tonight. >>> all right thank you. we have breaking news now this morning. word that citi group is cutting jobs. the bank announced it will cut 11,000 jobs. plans to close some of the branches as well. this is all part of a cost cutt

. that seems to be the line right there. this could dip into marin or napa county later on today but it kind of stays there and then we have to wait for it to start moving south. the main core of the system is still the north. you watch out this developing later tonight. right there. 2:00 a.m. there could be a like of moderate rain and then by -- could be a line of moderate rain associated with that they rosa. the cloud cover and a little southeast breeze helping along. this is just a warm sector in advance of this. this is a much weaker system than anything we saw of the previous three. but it's still going to produce some rain. the heavier rain would be about santa rosa north. 1 to 2 inches could easily fall south of that. mostly cloudy, light rain to the north. 50s, 60s. too much cloud cover. some of that rain must keep temperatures in check. mild, kind of muggy. morning lane, into wednesday morning. clearing, pattern change. this will be the last system in the series. we go dry. light and morning fog will be a huge issue friday into saturday morning -- saturday morning. >>> authorities w
